{"id":618,"date":"2022-02-14T13:48:36","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T18:48:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/?p=618"},"modified":"2022-02-14T13:48:36","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T18:48:36","slug":"how-to-get-imagick-working-under-windows-server-iis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/2022\/02\/14\/how-to-get-imagick-working-under-windows-server-iis\/","title":{"rendered":"How to get IMAGICK working under Windows Server IIS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the simple method to get IMAGICK working under Windows Server 2019\/2022 and IIS 10.0 and later.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Presuming using PHP 7.4.X (current version is 7.4.27 as of 2\/14\/22).\u00a0 <em><strong>N<\/strong><strong>OTE:\u00a0 This is not working properly under PHP 8.x<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Make sure you&#8217;ve downloaded the most current 7.4.X version and installed it on your IIS\/PHP Manager, which properly sets up the handler mappings.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0download IMAGICK\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/windows.php.net\/downloads\/pecl\/releases\/imagick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/windows.php.net\/downloads\/pecl\/releases\/imagick\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Pick the most current, NON &#8220;RC&#8221; version.\u00a0 For me, that was 3.7.0<\/li>\n<li>Download the version for PHP 7.4, NTS, vc15, x64\n<ol>\n<li>For me, that was -&gt; php_imagick-3.7.0-7.4-nts-vc15-x64.zip<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you have the Visual C 15 runtime installed.\u00a0 (Google it and download\/install if needed)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Extract the archive above to a temporary directory<\/li>\n<li>copy php_imagick.dll to your PHP\\ext directory.\n<ol>\n<li>MAKE SURE you are in the correct directory, e.g. for me that was php-7.4.27-nts-Win32-vc15-x64\\ext<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>in the archive directory, SORT BY TYPE.\n<ol>\n<li>Copy all CORE_RL*.DLL (28 files)<\/li>\n<li>Copy all FILTER*.DLL\u00a0 (one)<\/li>\n<li>Copy all IM_MOD_RL (134 files)<\/li>\n<li>copy all these to your PHP version&#8217;s ROOT directory.\u00a0 For me, that was 7.4.27-nts-Win32-vc15-x64\u00a0 (NOT THE EXT DIRECTORY!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Go to PHP manager and click on check PHPINFO().\u00a0 When that comes up, scroll down and make sure you see a section for IMAGICK.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-619\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47-300x218.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47-1024x743.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47-768x557.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47-1536x1114.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022-02-14_13-47-47.jpg 1901w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Note:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amixa.com\/blog\/2022\/02\/14\/wordpress-there-was-an-error-the-response-is-not-a-valid-json-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">If you are using WordPress, please read this post to make sure you don&#8217;t get JSON errors<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the simple method to get IMAGICK working under Windows Server 2019\/2022 and IIS 10.0 and later. &nbsp;
